Slainte on Friday's 'Diners, Drive-ins and Dives'

The Fells Point pub Slainte is featured on a new episode of the Food Network's "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives."

Slainte's seafood gumbo and its "twist on traditional corned beef and cabbage" are featured on the episode, titled "Soup-Centric," which premieres Friday at 10 p.m.

Slainte is hosting a viewing party starting from 7 p.m. until closing with live music, complimentary samples of the food featured on the episode and drink specials.

The Slainte footage was taped back in August, when the show's host Guy Fieri was in Baltimore to open his restaurant at the Horseshoe Baltimore Casino.

Tapings were also done at Grano Pasta Bar in Hampden, Clementine in Hamilton and Johnny Rad's in Fells Point.

The Grano episode, "Meat in the Middle," premiered on Nov. 7. The episode with Clementine and Johnny Rad's, "All Baltimore, All the Time," debuts Nov. 21. Unlike the typical episode of the long-running show that visits restaurants in three different cities, the Nov. 21 episode is wholly devoted to Baltimore.
