Sarah Acconcia has left Bookmakers, the Federal Hill cocktail lounge and restaurant where she has been executive chef since last October. Her last day at the restaurant was Saturday.

Before joining Bookmakers, Acconcia was the executive chef at Le Garage in Hampden. She said she had decided to leave Bookmakers for personal reasons.

"I am taking a break from restaurants for a while," Acconcia said via text message. "I am continuing to do consulting work as well as event planning." 

Bookmakers general manager Ben Circelli said that sous chef Nelson Morton has taken over the restaurant's kitchen.

"We hope [Nelson] will continue to put out food in the same style as Sarah did," Circelli said. "We wish Sarah nothing but the best."
