Ryleigh's presents its seventh annual Oysterfest this weekend on East Cross Street.

Admission is free to the block party, which this year will include more than 10 raw bars, live music and the third-annual Baltimore Oyster Shucking Competition on Saturday at 5 p.m.

The party, which will be held rain or shine, goes from noon to 9 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Ryleigh's is at 36 E. Cross St. in Federal Hill. For information about Oysterfest call 410-539-2093.

Elsewhere, this week's Gathering is at the Baltimore Museum of Industry. The traveling Friday night food-truck rally goes from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Admission is free, but all-you-can-drink wristbands are available on The Gathering website. There is a large pavilion on the site in case the rain keeps up.

There will also be some food trucks gathering Saturday, 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., at the Humane Society of Harford County's Walk & Wag-a-Thon and Pet Fair at the Harford County Equestrian Center.

And, Shoo-Fly, the new restaurant from Amy and Spike Gjerde, is set to open Friday at Belvedere Square, and the merchants inside the market building are starting their late hours this weekend, too.

And dont't forget that the Baltimore Running Festival on Saturday. I mean it. Don't forget. If you have plans anywhere in Baltimore that involve going one block in any direction and you don't plan ahead, you'll regret it.
