The former Beatle and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member last played Baltimore in 2012 at the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall, but played the Wolf Trap in Vienna, Va., last June. Reviewing that show for the Sun, Matthew Hay Brown wrote, "He's always been more of a personality than a singer, but his voice has grown stronger in the last couple of decades."

Last month, the 74-year-old singer/songwriter released his 18th studio album, "Postcards from Paradise."
