Baltimore placed dead ninth in Southern Living's online poll to determine the South's "tastiest town." Baltimore placed behind, in order, Lafayette, La., Louisville, Ky., New Orleans, Charleston, S.C., Charlottesville, Va., Houston, Birmingham, Ala. and Decatur, Ga.
Baltimore did place ahead of Raleigh, N.C. in the poll. Eat it, Wolfpack. This is almost as satisfying as eliminating the Red Sox from the playoffs. Nine is fine.
