The gang at Mr. Rain's Fun House is hosting its second annual Pig and Whiskey Dinner in honor of the Southern Louisiana tradition of La Grande Boucherie, the communal butchering of the pig. Chef Bill Buszinski is serving a $55, five-course pig-tasting menu paired with American whiskeys selected by Mixologist Perez Klebahn.
No pigs will be slaughtered, we think, during the dinner, which is coming up on Friday, Feb. 3, 5:30-10 p.m. Reservations are suggested but not required, and the whiskeys cost $8-$14 depending on whether they're ordered neat or in a Klebahn cocktail.
