Pie Five Pizza Co. is opening another location in White Marsh next month.
The fast-casual pizza chain will open at 5209 Campbell Blvd. on Sept. 8, becoming the fifth Pie Five location in the Baltimore area for franchisee Jeff Mengel.
"The White Marsh area in general, it's so socially and economically vibrant," he said.
Mengel also owns Pie Five locations in Columbia, Ellicott City, Glen Burnie and Owings Mills. He's scouting his next location, and said he'd like to open additional restaurants in Baltimore County or expand to Harford County or Baltimore City.
"We want to continue to spread our wings here," Mengel said.
Pie Five is among a wave of fast-casual pizza restaurants that have opened in Baltimore during the last several years. Others include Pie 360, &pizza, Bagby Pizza and Blaze Pizza.
"We're trying to change the way a lot of people consume their pizza," Mengel said, "and creating that hand-crafted, individual experience is a big part of that."
Pie Five in White Marsh will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
