Parts & Labor will celebrate the opening of its new patio this weekend with offerings from an Argentinian-style mixed grill.

The Remington restaurant and butcher shop will break in its outdoor eating area with a communal meal centered on South American cuisine July 31.

From 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., the restaurant at 2600 N. Howard St. will offer boards of grilled meats and vegetables, including housemade chorizo, blood sausage, bavette steak, short ribs and chicken. Guests can choose two meats for $25, three for $35 or five for $50. All dishes will be served with grilled corn, zucchini, peppers, chimichurri and Venezuelan hot sauce.

A monthly butchery demonstration at Remington's Parts & Labor sells out every time, usually capping at 15 students. It's a testament to customers' curiosity about where their food comes from, an increasing demand that's being met by a growing faction of Baltimore-area butchers working to connect consumers with their meat.

The grill menu will be available both inside the restaurant and outdoors.

Beyond the patio kickoff party, Parts & Labor will offer lunch and dinner daily on the patio.

Reservations for Sunday's meal can be made by calling 443-873-8887.
