The week before Thanksgiving is always light on the nightlife and entertainment fronts. And while that's true again this year, there are a bunch of Thanksgiving Eve special events planned. And, on the Saturday following the holiday, there's Fall Massive, an indoor electronic and dance music festival at RFK Stadium in Washington. Among the performers? Moby, Armand Van Helden, Diplo and other dance music marquee names. Promoters have billed it as Washington's answer to Starscape. Elsewhere this week: Bob Seger, Ledisi, and Spank Rock.
On Monday, there's little happening in the way of nightlife, unless you count "Print by Print: Series from Durer to Lichtenstein" at the Baltimore Museum of Art.
On Tuesday, things improve. Jeffrey Lewis and the Junkyard, the New York folk and garage punk band, performs at Golden West, 1105 West 36th Street, alongside Baltimore's The Creepers and the Degenerettes. 10 p.m. $6.
On Wednesday, a couple of bars have your Thanksgiving eve plans covered: Spank Rock, Emily Rabbit and Simon Phoenix will play a dance party Golden West at 10 p.m. ($5), and Sidebar, 218 E. Lexington St., will host its sixth annual More Gore movie night, featuring "Poultrygeist" and "Thankskilling." 8 p.m. $5. In Bel Air, DuClaw Brewing Company is throwing a party and selling all bottles of wine at a $10 discount. Or, you could get into the holiday spirit by going to see "Taxi Driver" at 9 p.m. the Charles, part of the theater's revival series. At the Lyric, there's more traditional fare: the R&B singer Ledisi performs from her new album, "Pieces of Me." 8 p.m. Tickets start at $32.
