Nov. 14-20 in nightlife: Height with Friends, Wham City Comedy, Smokers Club Tour with Method Man

Golden West Cafe has a handful of good shows this week, but the highlight is easily Joe Lally and Zomes on Saturday. While Fugazi has been on an indefinite hiatus for over eight years now, Lally, the band's founding bassist, has released three solo albums; the latest, "Why Should I Get Used to It," was released in April. Elsewhere this week: Wham City Comedy, Height with Friends, and the Smokers Club tour, starring Method Man and Curren$y. 

On Monday, Manchester Orchestra, an indie rock five-piece, perform at the 9:30 club, 815 V St. N.W., Washington. 6 p.m. $18. In Baltimore, the Charles Theater's revival series has "The Taking of Pelham One, Two, Three." 7 p.m. $7.50.

On Tuesday, Baltimore garage punk band Lazlo Lee and the Motherless Children perform at the Sidebar, 218 E. Lexington St. 9 p.m. No cover listed.

On Wednesday, buy, sell or trade vinyl at Golden West's Wax night. Among the expected vendors: Friends Records, True Vine, Normal's Records. 1105 W. 36th Street. 10 p.m. No cover. Also: Hank Williams III, the punk metal grandson of classy political commentator Hank Williams Jr., performs at Rams Head Live. 7 p.m. $15.

On Thursday, DJ Jay Simon joins house DJs Rick Rab and Secret Weapon Dave at Golden West's Down to Funk dance party. 10 p.m. $3.

On Friday, Height, Mickey Free and AK Slaughter perform at Golden West. 10 p.m. $7.

On Saturday, Joe Lally (formerly of Fugazi) and Zomes perform at Golden West. Maryland native Lally this year released his third solo album, "Why Should I Get Used to It." 10 p.m. $8. The Wham City Comedy Tour returns to Baltimore after its most recent tour. The bunch of them will perform at the Courier Theater, 439 E. Preston, at 9:30 p.m. No cover listed.

On Sunday, Curren$y, Method Man, Big K.R.I.T., Smoke DZA, and The Pricks perform at Rams Head Live as part of the Smokers Club Tour. Look for a preview later this week. 7 p.m. $35.
