Southern California-based Pizza Studio is planning to open its first Maryland location early next month in Baltimore.
The chain, which was founded by two former Marylanders and bills itself as "America's leading fast-casual pizza concept," will be opening at 3201 St. Paul St. in Charles Village. It is expected to be the first of several locations in the region, according to a release announcing the opening.
"We started Pizza Studio in Southern California, and are thrilled to open our doors back in Baltimore, a city that has always meant so much to us," said co-founder Ron Biskin, who lived in Owings Mills for a period in the '90s.
Added his partner, Samit Varma, who grew up in Rockville and later lived in Annapolis, "We can't wait to invite our neighbors and the Johns Hopkins community to experience our fast, affordable pizzas, custom-made for each guest."
