Local Pie, the new 30-seat pizzeria from former Iggies owners Lisa Heckman and Peter Wood, opened Thursday in the West Pennsylvania Avenue location in Towson that had been Havana Road.
Reached at Local Pie, Wood said that Iggies fans will recognize the basic menu of pizza and salads, but Local Pie is not Iggies.
As they do at Iggies, customers place their orders at a counter, Wood said. But unlike at Iggies, they have their food brought to them at Local Pie.
Heckman and Wood sold their nine-year-old BYOB cafe Iggies in July to Jim Pak, a retired pharmacist. They announced in August that they'd be taking over the Havana Road space.
