Food Market spinoff La Food Marketa opens at Quarry Lake on Thursday

La Food Marketa, a spinoff of Chad Gauss' popular Food Market in Hampden, will open Thursday at Quarry Lake at Greenspring.

The Pikesville restaurant will feature American cuisine with Central and South American influences. The menu includes both small plates ("chiquitas" and "pequenos") and entrees, such as fish taco dip, roasted lamb ribs, beef tenderloin tostadas, Peruvian chicken fajitas and coriander-crusted bison. Prices range from $7 to $31.

Chef Chad Gauss, owner of the Food Market in Hampden, is bringing his hearty eats to Baltimore County. 

John Bedingfield, a longtime Food Market employee, will serve as La Food Marketa's executive chef.

The restaurant seats 105 inside and 64 outside.

Located at 2620 Quarry Lake Drive, La Food Marketa will be open for dinner 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 4 p.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday. The restaurant will also serve brunch and lunch Friday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
