The owners of Brown Rice are bringing a Korean barbecue stand to Remington's forthcoming food emporium.

Heather Chung and Unmi "Mimi" Kim are opening BeBim at R. House, the $12 million car dealership-turned-food hall at the corner of 29th Street and Remington Avenue.

BeBim will serve Korean barbecue in bowls (bibimbap) or buckwheat wraps filled with meats, vegetables and house-made sauces. The stall will also offer from-scratch Korean dumplings (mandu) and drinks like green tea and cinnamon punch.

Over the past few years, Korean food and "fast casual" dining have been trends on the rise, both in Baltimore and around the country. It was only a matter of time before a fast-casual Korean restaurant popped up in the city.

Chung and Kim's original restaurant, Brown Rice, has a location in Charles Village and recently joined the Mount Vernon Marketplace, too.

Its sister concept, BeBim, will join nine other vendors at R. House, including Arba, a Mediterranean street food stand; Stall 11, a vegan and vegetarian concept; and the breakfast spot Ground & Griddled.

R. House is scheduled to open this fall.
