Influential R&B singer Janet Jackson will perform at Royal Farms Arena on Feb. 29, concert promoter Live Nation announced in a press release on Monday. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. July 20.
Last month, Jackson announced the "Unbreakable" world tour, her first extended outing in four years. Set to run from the end of August to mid-November, the first leg did not include dates in the Baltimore area. That changed Monday when the Royal Farms Arena show, along with a March 1 date at Washington's Verizon Center, were announced.
This fall, Jackson plans to release her first new album since 2008's "Discipline." Audio of the first single, "No Sleeep," can be heard at the top of this post. The forthcoming record does not yet have a title or specific release date.
In her storied career, Jackson has sold more than 160 million records worldwide and garnered 10 No. 1 singles, according to Billboard.
