The Nickel Taphouse in Mount Washington is starting up a weekend brunch. The a la carte brunch menu will be served on Saturdays and Sundays starting Nov. 15. The menu includes the usual frittatas, Benedicts and omelets. But it has mussels and oysters, too, along with snack-y things like deviled eggs, Scotch eggs and Buffalo Brussels sprouts. We have our eye on the red-flannel roast beef hash. We're going to let someone else try the moon pie French toast with marshmallow, chocolate sauce and whipped cream, though.

More than anything, we love that they're offering cheese blintzes.
