With Haussner's building to be demolished next week, a look back at the beloved restaurant

The landmark building that housed the storied Haussner's restaurant in Highlandtown will soon come crumbling down as work crews make way for an apartment building on the site.

The corner building at Eastern Avenue and Clinton Street has been vacant for the last decade, and is scheduled to be demolished next week. The Garver Development Group is replacing the building with a new, 65-unit apartment complex. It's expected to be the tallest building in Highlandtown.
