Harford County Public Library will host a series of six events for its annual Foodie Week in November.
The library chain will hold events at five of its 11 locations between Nov. 12 and 20, including fairs, tastings, demonstrations and talks with authors.
Here's an overview of the events that are part of Foodie Week, all of which are free to participants. More information is available on the library's website.
- Nov. 12: Foodies and Farmers Fair demonstrations, talks and recipes to showcase Harford County's culinary attractions. 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Whiteford Branch Library (2407 Whiteford Road).
- Nov. 13: Presentation by Baltimore Sun reporter Fred Rasmussen on gourmet dining along the B&O Railroad. 2 p.m. at the Jarrettsville Branch Library (3722 Norrisville Road).
- Nov. 14: "A Taste of Chocolate: A Guided Chocolate Tasting." 6:30 p.m at the Whiteford Branch Library.
- Nov. 15: "Hot Drink Mixology" session including recipes, samples and demonstrations showing ways to improve coffee at home. 6:30 p.m. at the Havre de Grace Branch Library (120 N. Union Ave.).
- Nov. 17: "Murder with Macaroni and Cheese" book discussion with author A. L. Herbert. 6:30 p.m. at the Edgewood Branch Library (629 Edgewood Road).
- Nov. 20: Presentation on "The Thousand Dollar Dinner" by author Becky Diamond. 2 p.m. at the Bel Air Branch Library (100 E. Pennsylvania Ave.).
