Girl Talk has been booked to perform at Power Plant Live on St. Patrick's Day, the venue is announcing today. The Baltimore act Height with Friends will open.
The two acts will perform on the outdoor stage March 17 for the venue's day-long St. Patrick's Day events, dubbed Shamrocks & Shenanigans.
The event will feature two other music acts, the local band Qilo, who'll perform at Leinenkugel's Beer Garden, and the Baltimore Irish punk band McNaughsty's, who'll perform at Mex.
Girl Talk, nee Gregg Gillis, last played in the area at the

, who goes by the name Height, will be performing with some of the regulars in his Friends outfit - Gavin Riley,
, Justin Barnes and Joe Delano.
Keech has previously opened for Girl Talk, most recently with Shark Tank, his project with frequent collaborator

But the last time he opened for Girl Talk under the Height with Friends moniker was in 2006. The St. Patrick's Day show will be the first since the DJ established himself as a national act.
"I think it will be one the biggest crowds for which we've performed," Keech said. "It's a cool challenge to play for his crowds, because they are ready to go crazy."
Access to Power Plant Live will be free, as always, on St. Patrick's Day, but the venue is selling $20 tickets to the Alley, the 2,000-person capacity area around the outdoor stage. The tickets, which go on sale February 25, include the show and free admission to Mosaic, Mex, Luckie's Tavern, Leinenkugel's, Angels Rock Bar and PBR Baltimore.
Height is scheduled to play at 8 p.m., Girl Talk at 9 p.m. The Qilo, who'll play at noon, and McNaughsty's, set for 5 p.m., shows are free.
Also that day, Leinenkugel's and Luckie's Tavern are hosting an open bar & food 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; admission is $30.
