On a hot afternoon in July, hundreds of aspiring Baltimore dancers accepted the invitation of the English R&B singer FKA twigs to come to her free dance workshop at Lithuanian Hall.
For five hours, the singer — along with collaborators Ramon Baynes, Kash Powell and Dominic Lawrence — taught choreography to the group. Some of the dancers were chosen to join twigs on stage at her Pier Six Pavilion concert the following night.
The day was filmed, and a documentary titled "Baltimore Dance Project" is the result. Before WeTransfer Studios premieres the full piece Wednesday, The Baltimore Sun is exclusively debuting the trailer, which can be viewed above.
