Hamilton Tavern is celebrating its fifth anniversary this week. The neighborly Harford Road bar was an immediate hit, not least because of its Crosstown Burger, a seriously good thing made from Roseda Beef and topped with iceberg lettuce (yes) and horseradish cheddar with the buy-in options of caramelized bacon and a fried egg, the last of which was, at the time, a novelty for Baltimore burgers.
Hamilton Tavern expects to serve its 75,000th burger on Monday night, according to co-owner Tom Creegan, who said that the lucky person who orders it will get a "little something" to commemorate the milestone. On Tuesday and Wednesday, the kitchen is serving some frequently requested past menu items, and the bar is featuring an all-Baltimore draft list, including brews from Union Craft Brewing, The Brewer's Art, Oliver Breweries and Stillwater Artisanal Ales.
