Emporiyum food market returns to Baltimore, this time during Light City

The Emporiyum food market is coming back to Baltimore, this time during Light City.

The Emporiyum, a two-day market featuring artisanal foods and drinks from Baltimore and beyond, will return to Charm City on April 1-2.

The event showcases products ranging from popsicles to beer to sea salts. Local vendors that will participate include Hex Ferments, La Cuchara, Charm City Meadworks and Ceremony Coffee Roasters.

This year's Emporiyum coincides with Baltimore's second annual Light City festival, which runs March 31 to April 8. The food event will go from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

The Emporiyum will return to the former Best Buy space on the third floor of 600 E. Pratt St., the same location as last year. (The Inner Harbor spot puts it right in the heart of the Light City festivities.) In previous years, the event has been held at the Morgan Stanley building and an H&S distribution center.

Tickets run from $15 for general admission to $40 for the VIP experience, which allows guests to enter an hour earlier than the main crowd (from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.) and also includes a tote bag with gourmet treats. Kids 12 and under are free. You can purchase tickets here.

The Emporiyum was first held in 2014, and also hosts an annual sister event in Washington in November.
