The Sun Magazine will be tucked inside your Sunday Sun. Jill Rosen takes you inside Chazz Palminteri's Bedford, N.Y. home.
Palminteri, of course, is the name behind Chazz: A Bronx Original, a contemporary Italian restaurant that opened this spring on Aliceanna Street. He's lending more than just his name, of course. There are a few glimpses, which didn't make it into the magazine, of Palminteri's wine cellar.
Also in the magazine, David Zurawik takes readers behind the scenes of the "Modern Family" set in Los Angeles for a visit with Emmy winners and Baltimore natives. Julie Bowen and Jason Winer, both Baltimore natives. If you watch the show, you know that Palminteri made two appearances this season as Shorty.
Chazz Palminteri: The Baltimore restaurateur at home in Bedford, N.Y.
Dan Chaustit, the executive chef and owner of Crush in Belvedere Square, carved out a jewel-like, 32-seat dining room on his restaurant's lower level, named it Demi, and handed the reins over flamboyantly talented young chef named Tae Strain. With ingenuity and a focus on intense flavor, Strain has made small plates hip again. Take a seat at the kitchen counter. --Richard Gorelick Venue address: 510 E.
