Only one Maryland restaurant made OpenTable's list of 100 Best Restaurants in America for 2016.
That honor went to Charleston, a Harbor East restaurant owned by Foreman Wolf Restaurant Group.
The rankings were based on more than 10 million reviews of over 24,000 restaurants across the country submitted to online dining site OpenTable by verified diners.
Overall, the Mid-Atlantic was well represented on OpenTable's list. Three restaurants in neighboring Washington, D.C., (barmini, Harold Black and Season Restaurant in the Washington Four Seasons Hotel); seven in Virginia (Bistro L'Hermitage, Fat Canary, Fleurie, The Goodstone Inn & Estate Restaurant, The Inn at Little Washington, L'Auberge Chez Francois and L'Opossum); and four in Pennsylvania (Bibou, Bolete Restaurant, Vetri and Zahav) were all named to the list.
Charleston was also the lone Maryland restaurant to make OpenTable's top 100 list in 2015. This fall, it was named as one of OpenTable's 100 top restaurants for foodies, as was Linwoods in Owings Mills.
