By Degrees Cafe in Little Italy to close

By Degrees Cafe will close in Little Italy.

This notice was posted Wednesday on the cafe's Facebook page:

"Due to unforseen circumstances (beyond our control), we are tremendously saddened to announce that By Degrees Cafe will be closed as of 12-8. We would like to thank all of you for your patronage and support and we look forward to serving you again in the future."

On Wednesday afternoon, the restaurant's listed phone number was not in service.

By Degrees opened last October in the old Fallsway Spring & Equipment Co. building on S. Central Ave. in Little Italy. The renovated building's other major tenant is Groove Commerce, a digital advertising agency.

The chef and general manager at By Degrees is Omar Semidey, formerly of The Wine Market and Fleet Street Kitchen.
