NBC's Bob Costas and several members of the NBC production crew had their post-Preakness dinner at Aldo's in Little Italy Saturday night.
Costas arrived at the Little Italy restaurant around 9:30 p.m., said Aldo's co-owner Sergio Vitale. In all, he said, NBC's Preakness contingent took up three tables at the restaurant.
Apparently neither the rain nor Kentucky Derby winner Nyquist's upset loss ruined anyone's evening. "Everyone's in good spirits, all things considered," Vitale said.
The NBC production crew has been coming to Aldo's following the Preakness for some 15 years, Vitale said. But this is the first time he remembers Costas joining them.
"It's always fun seeing Preakness people," Vitale said.
