Blessed are the local home-brewers and chili-makers

The annual Charitably Charming ChiliBrew is set for April 22.

Organized by the BaltiBrew homebrew club, the informal contest will be held at Localize It!, a block party celebrating the local and the DIY-spirit at the Ash Street Garden in Hampden.

There are actually three separate competitions, for vegetarian chili, for chili con carne and for home brews. Pre-registration isn't required, but it's highly recommended in order to ensure enough tables and supplies are available. Take a look at the competition rules and entry form.

Du Claw is holding its second annual competition for home brewers.  Entries are due on April 18, and you can find out more about Du Claw's 2012 HERO contest here.
