Baltimore County Public Library fundraiser features area restaurants

The Foundation for Baltimore County Public Library is hosting its fourth annual Taste of the Town fundraiser on May 9 at the Towson branch of BCPL.

The event, which will benefit the Foundation's literacy efforts, will include music, a live auction and sampling of food and drink from area restaurants.

Participating restaurants include BB's Cafe, Cafe Troia, Charles Village Pub, Cunningham's, Fazzini's Taverna, Jake's NY Deli, La Cakerie, McFaul's IronHorse Tavern, Prigel Family Creamery, Salsa Grill and the Wild Pea. The Baltimore-based craft brewer Full Tilt Brewing is the event's beer sponsor.

The fundraiser's honorary host is Katie Workman, author of "The Mom 100 Cookbook" and creator of themom100.com blog.

Taste of the Town is 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. on May 9 at the Towson Library, 320 York Road. Tickets to the event are $75 and can be purchased at any of the 19 BCPL branches, online at foundationforbcpl.org or by calling 410-887-6196.
