Alewife Tavern is the latest business to make a go of it in the 167-year-old former headquarters of the Eutaw Savings Bank and Baltimore Equitable Society. Touches of the old bank architecture, such as the vault, remain. And the food? Restaurant critic Rob Kasper was especially taken with the appetizers; those, he said, "you can take to the bank."
