QUESTION: Beginning in 1919, Abe Sherman owned a Baltimore newsstand (and later kiosk), which sold numerous domestic and foreign papers. He remained at this spot until 1970, when he moved, opening a bookstore at Park Avenue and Mulberry Street. Where was that original location?
ANSWER: In front of the old Battle Monument at Calvert and Fayette streets.
