Fosters needed for cats

The Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter (BARCS) is looking for animal lovers to foster cats until they find their forever homes.
The shelter just took in 30 cats from a hoarding situation in the city. That’s great news for the cats, but not so fabulous for the shelter, whose kitty quarters were already full (a great example of why spay/neuter is so important). Which leads to BARCS call for new foster homes.
Fosters open their homes to cats until they’re adopted, and while it can be sad to bid farewell to a furry house guest, fosters say providing temporary shelter and love to a homeless animal is also fantastically rewarding.
BARCS asks fosters to keep each cat for a minimum of two weeks, and there’s an especially urgent need for people who are willing to take cats (and dogs) who need medical care. All medical care is paid for by the shelter, which can often provide donated food as well.
