This weekend, just by sitting outside with a drink in your hand and listening to a band, you could be helping area animals in need.
Rock-n-Rescue will be happening Saturday from 2 to 6 p.m. at a private home in scenic Sparks. There will be live music all day by the band Slant 6, food on the grill, beer, wine and a cash bar. Folks can bring a blanket or folding chairs and settle in for a day of what's expected to be lovely fall weather.
People will also have a chance to explore what's being billed as "one of the largest privately owned Rock and Roll memorabilia collections on the East Coast."
Proceeds will benefit Charm City Animal Rescue and The Pit Bull Project, which is the only free spay and neuter program for Pit Bulls in Baltimore.
The party will be happening at a home at 2159 Belfast Road. But because parking is extremely limited, people are asked to park at the Butler fire department at 15019 Falls Road. A shuttle will ferry folks to the party.
