Lab Rescue hosts Towson adoption day

(Handout photo)

So you've read all the stories about rescued pets in our "Collared" feature, talked with neighbors and friends, and browsed the beds and leashes aisles at pet stores. Your heart wants it, your head knows it's right, and it's time to adopt a best friend. This weekend may be your chance.

Lab Rescue of the Labrador Retriever Club of the Potomac (LRCP) will bring a whole slew of Labrador Retrievers looking for their forever homes to the Towson PetSmart, 1238 Putty Hill Ave., this Sunday, Aug. 11. Labs are given up for adoption for myriad reasons, including relocations and moves, allergies, owner deaths, and financial challenge. Lab Rescue also screens and rescues dogs from shelters and Humane Societies.
