Windowpane menorah

With a modern twist on the traditional menorah, this project will add fun and light to your family's Hanukkah holiday. MATERIALS: Tissue paper Mod Podge Foam paint brush 9 glass votive holders 1 small glass votive holder Hot glue gun 9 tea lights DIRECTIONS: 1. Cut small squares of tissue paper and sort into piles by color. To create the ombre effect, stick with one color family. Start with the lightest color for the outside votives, and progressively change colors from light to dark as you move toward the middle. 2. Paint a layer of Mod Podge on the inside of the votive holder. 3. Layer pieces of tissue paper on top of the Mod Podge. Continue this process until the entire inside of the votive is covered. 4. The Mod Podge will appear white until it dries; don't worry if your glass looks white and cloudy at first. 5. Apply a second coat of Mod Podge, and cover any holes that were missed the first round. 6. Apply a third coat to seal everything in. 7. Glue the middle votive to the upside-down small votive holder to make it stand taller than the rest of the votives. You can also simply purchase a larger votive for this position on the menorah. 8. Have an adult light the tea lights inside the votive holders.
