BIRTHDAY GUY: Television host Geraldo Rivera was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on this date in 1943. This birthday guy may be most famous, or infamous, for opening Al Capone's "secret vault" in a live TV special in 1986, which revealed nothing but disappointment. Rivera hosts "Geraldo at Large" and appears as a frequent guest on Fox News programs. He hosted "The Geraldo Rivera Show" from 1987-1998.

ARIES (March 21-April 19): It is the most appropriate day to be a flag-waver. Your opinions could sometimes be shocking to some people, but it is always acceptable to voice support for your country, the armed forces and your hometown.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20): Fireworks may be set off within your heart. An explosion of emotions could turn you upside down but won't send you over the top. Your fantasies are likely to come true where a passionate partner is concerned.

GEMINI (May 21-June 20): Give in to the pangs of patriotism. Parades, fireworks or flag raisings give you an opportunity to spend quality time with family or a new romantic interest. Wholesome activities warm the cockles of a cold heart.

CANCER (June 21-July 22): You could find romance by the rockets' red glare. The one you love will still be there in the dawn's early light. A relationship that begins to bloom now might be based on shared dreams and ideals.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22): Take pride in your yard -- and in your country. Even if you only have a front door to an apartment to look after, you can make the doorknob shine and add luster to its appearance. A gift might have added significance.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22): Ask not what your partner can do for you -- ask what you can do for your partner. A show of consideration or a demonstration of your regard will change the tone of a relationship for the better today.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22): Red, white and blue looks good on you; the light of sparklers and fireworks flatter your features. Since you are at your attractive best, it could be a good time to make your move or to express your feelings.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21): Kismet might bring you an unexpected kiss. A relationship that has been on the back burner could blossom. Have plenty of extra sparklers on hand in case unexpected visitors show up on your doorstep.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21): It is a good day to relish the pursuit of happiness. Take time to appreciate your freedoms, and find some way to express gratitude for every single man and woman who serves to protect them.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19): Your loving heart might beat to the rhythm of "The Star-Spangled Banner." A new romance or friendship could easily be turned off by a lack of respect for individual freedoms or rights.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18): One of by land, two if by sea. It will pay off for you to provide direction to others. You don't need to recite the Declaration of Independence to be considered a patriot or an all-around good person.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20): You could find true romance in the twilight's last gleaming. This is a good day to spend with loved ones. Perform little acts of kindness that tighten the bonds of affection. Your ability to love is gallantly streaming.

IF JULY 4 IS YOUR BIRTHDAY: The weight on your shoulders isn't too heavy to bear, but it is important that you follow through on promises this month. Toe the line by getting to work on time and complete projects as scheduled. Address emerging health problems immediately and get adequate rest. You might be too gullible for your own good in late August and early September, but a romantic encounter in November might have potential. January is the best month to make crucial changes or improvements in your life. Perhaps you hope to change jobs or ask for a permanent commitment from your special someone. People will only see your best side and will ignore your faults then, so go forward full throttle.
