Warby Parker, the eyewear brand known for its iconic black and tortoise-shell glasses, opened a 1,000-square-foot store Wednesday morning in Harbor East.
The store, the brand's first in Maryland, will carry a full collection of glasses and sunglasses and will have an on-site optometrist for exams.
The interior has a nautical charm to reflect the neighborhood as well as elements from a classic library, with elegant displays of books, brass library lamps, and terrazzo flooring. Artwork by illustrator and animator Otto Steininger, created exclusively for the store, will also be on display. The store also features a selection of books for sale, as well as a reading nook.
Find Warby Parker at 807 Aliceanna St. in Harbor East. On April 30, the store will host a grand opening event, which will feature doughnuts and coffee from Woodberry Kitchen and Artifact Coffee.
