Starbucks gave away free Reusable Red Cups on Nov. 2 and quickly ran out of the freebies.
Some stores only had 25 cups. That angered customers who left with paper cups, especially since the reusable cup could be brought back to stores to save 50 cents off grande holiday drinks after 2 p.m. through Jan. 7, according to a news release touting the offer.
Now, Starbucks is making amens by selling the cups for $2.50, the company told the "Today" show. If you buy a cup, you’ll still get the discount when ordering beverages in store.
The chain also introduced four new festive paper cups designs to kick off its limited-edition drink offerings for the season. The cups take inspiration from Starbucks holidays past and feature vintage colors of mint green and argyle with a star, a cluster of coffee cherries and a flame.
This year's drink flavors include Peppermint Mocha, Toasted White Chocolate Mocha, Caramel Brulee Latte, Chestnut Praline Latte, Gingerbread Latte and Eggnog Latte.
Get them hot, iced or as Frappuccinos.
