When Baltimore's Center Club underwent a major renovation last year, there was one stylish fixture it didn't dare get rid of — Andreas Doulamatis. The 50-year-old club maitre d' is always impeccably dressed in his "eclectic business" style as he greets every guest. When we "glimpsed" him at work, the Mount Vernon resident was wearing a navy blue blazer, French blue dress shirt, charcoal gray pleated wool pants and black oxfords, all from Jos. A. Bank. His blue, cream and tan silk bow tie was a gift from some musicians who had performed at the Center Club and noted that signature style element. "I wear bow ties 99 percent of the time. I would call it my trademark," Doulamatis says. But interesting bow ties can be hard to come by. That's why Doulamatis often makes his own. "[Years ago] I asked my wife to make me a bow tie. She said she wouldn't. But she'd teach me how."
