Light rail north of Timonium remains closed until Monday

Baltimore Sun

The Maryland Transit Administration says the light rail system could remain closed north of Timonium for another week because of problems caused last Tuesday when a tractor-trailer collided with a train at Gilroy Road, damaging the track and the overhead power system.

According to the MTA, the repairs to the system will be completed by Monday.

The MTA will continue to offer shuttle bus service between Timonium and Hunt Valley until service is restored. The truck driver in the March 23 incident faces traffic charges.
