Their story: The two met while attending the University of Richmond.

On Valentine's Day in 2009, Andrew bought Jenn a singing balloon, and the relationship went from there.

The proposal: On Jan. 23, 2014, Andrew lit dozens of candles throughout their apartment in Washington in preparation for the proposal.

"I walked in from work. He had candles lit in the shape of an arrow," Jenn said.

That arrow pointed to a slide show presentation that Andrew put together. By the time the presentation was over, Andrew was down on one knee with a ring.

"It was a complete shock," Jenn said. "I was too overwhelmed to cry. I was definitely surprised.

"He wouldn't let me call my parents. He said to call after dinner. When I showed up to dinner, both our parents were there."

When Jenn realized that her parents were at the restaurant, it really sank in.

"I really couldn't believe it. I squealed then," she said. "Andrew was very coy throughout the entire process."

Flowers and decor: Simply Beautiful Flowers, located in Pikesville, did the flowers. Arrangements included assorted light pastel flowers.
