"Our lives went in two different directions for a long time," Janna said. "We reconnected around 2009."

The couple live in Boise.

The proposal: Jeff proposed to Janna in April on the shore of Redfish Lake in the Sawtooth Mountains of Idaho. The two had taken a day trip through Sun Valley and stopped at the lake to enjoy the view.

Jeff had the ring hidden in his jacket all day, and he was worried that Janna might suspect something because he doesn't usually wear a jacket in warm weather. No one else was at the lake when they arrived, and Jeff popped the question.

"I couldn't breathe for two full minutes," Janna recalled. "I was very excited and ecstatic. I finally pulled myself together and said, 'Yes.' The next sound we heard was a hawk screech in the distance. It was really magical."

Venue: Forty guests attended the wedding, which was held at the Gramercy Mansion Carriage House in Stevenson.

Flowers and decor: Anna Hock of Flowers & Fancies in Owings Mills designed the floral arrangements in garden tones of green and white with blue accents. The floral scheme was inspired by the couple's love of hiking and the outdoors.

Her dress: Janna wore an ivory, strapless Marchesa Notte lace trumpet gown from Saks Fifth Avenue in New York.

Maid of honor dress: The maid of honor wore an Alice and Olivia floral gown she already owned.

Men's attire: Jeff, the best man and the father of the bride wore traditional black tuxedos from Jos. A. Bank.

Music: Dana Goode led a string trio that played for the ceremony and cocktail reception.

The couple's close friend Lynn Sharp Spears sang "As Time Goes By" after the couple recited their vows.

AJ Smith of AJ Productions provided the music for the dinner and dancing parts of the reception. The couple's first dance was to "At Last" by Etta James.

Food and dessert: Chef's Expressions served a three-course meal featuring butternut squash soup and a green salad with a white balsamic vinaigrette; wild mushroom ravioli; and braised beef short ribs in a Provencal sauce served with Yukon gold potatoes and haricots verts sauteed in butter.

For dessert, the couple served a lemon blueberry wedding cake with a white-tailed deer topper custom-made by Morgan the Creator of Palm City, Fla.

Special touches: The couple plan to honeymoon in Scotland.
