Their story: Casey and Ben first met while they were in high school. But they hadn't seen each other for more than 10 years when their paths crossed in 2012.

It was the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, and the two ran into each other outside the Admiral Fell Inn in Fells Point during a night out with friends. They began dating soon after that.

They are both Baltimore sports fans, and their first date was the night before the Ravens faced the Indianapolis Colts in a playoff game. It went so well that their second date was tailgating the next day. As the Ravens continued their winning ways — going on to win the Super Bowl that season — the couple's feelings for each other grew.

They live near Patterson Park with their puppy, Ozzie (named after Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome).

The proposal: Ben proposed on July 9, 2015 — the day before Casey's 29th birthday.

The two were out in Fells Point for dinner and drinks. Initially, Casey thought that Ben was going to propose early in the evening.

"I was nervous and very excited, and I could tell he was nervous, too," Casey recalled.

The two eventually settled into the date and grabbed a drink at The Waterfront Hotel. At that point, Casey didn't think Ben was going to propose.

The two went on a walk along the waterfront leading to Harbor East. They were heading to Cinghiale for dinner, which caused Casey to get suspicious, nervous and excited again.

As the two approached the pier and Casey spotted a photographer, she knew the proposal was about to happen.

"I couldn't even wait for him to get out the words before I said 'yes,'" she said. "I also forgot to look at the ring, as I was occupied grabbing his face and excitedly hugging him."

Venue: Two hundred guests attended the wedding and reception at Frederick Douglass-Isaac Myers Maritime Park and Museum.

Flowers and decor: Local Color Flowers provided the flowers in hunter green, cantaloupe, blush and burgundy shades. The company also made a chuppah (a traditional Jewish wedding canopy) for the ceremony. Small glass jars filled with flowers and candles decorated the aisle.

The reception was held outside in a tent provided by Loane Bros., which was filled with uplighting and string lights. Tables were decorated with succulents in wooden planters, and various glass jars containing candles and flowers. The wedding was coordinated by Courtney Nolan at Bright Occasions.

Bride's dress: Casey wore a floral lace ivory gown by Martina Liana from K&B Bridals in Bel Air.

Bridesmaids' attire: Bridesmaids wore chiffon and knit full-length hunter green gowns by Alfred Sung from Bella Bridesmaids in Baltimore.

Men's attire: Ben wore a custom navy suit by J.S. Edwards. Groomsmen wore navy suits from Combatant Gentlemen and hunter green ties from the Tie Bar.

Music: The Bachelor Boys Band provided the music. The couple's first dance was to "A New Life" by Jim James.

Food and dessert: Rouge Fine Catering provided the food. Appetizers included mini crab cakes, bacon-wrapped sea scallops, fried macaroni and cheese, beef brochette; and vol-au-vents (puff pastry) with wild mushroom and Gruyere. Dinner consisted of beef short ribs, salmon, and aloo gobi masala (an Indian dish made of cauliflower and potato). Rouge Fine Catering also provided assorted desserts and a tiered vanilla cake.

Favors: The couple handed out custom koozies and sunglasses as favors.

Special touches: Despite rain, guests enjoyed cocktail hour on the pier.

As a wedding gift for Ben, Casey had rose gold cuff links in the shape of Baltimore City engraved with their wedding date and initials. Other Baltimore touches included hand-painted Mr. Boh and Utz Girl Champagne glasses, with a matching cake topper.

The couple traveled to Thailand for their honeymoon.
