Baltimore-area storm postponements, cancellations, closings and re-openings

As the Baltimore region digs out from the historic snowstorm, area businesses and attractions have started to re-open but some remain closed. Below is a list of closings, recent re-openings, and postponed or cancelled events.

The American Visionary Art Museum is closed Tuesday.

Anne Arundel County Public Library branches are closed Tuesday.

Anne Arundel County government offices and Circuit Court are closed Tuesday. Baltimore County government offices re-opened at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday. Baltimore City government offices re-opened Tuesday.

Anne Arundel County Recreation and Parks programs and facilities are closed Tuesday. Closings include school-age child care, regional parks, aquatic centers, ice rinks and recreation centers. There will be no makeup dates for the school break fun days that have been cancelled.

The Babe Ruth Birthplace Museum is closed Tuesday.

The B&O Railroad Museum is closed Tuesday.

Center Stage's performance of "As You Like It" scheduled for Tuesday has been cancelled.

The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center at the University of Maryland is closed through Tuesday.

The following branches of the Maryland comptroller's office will be closed Tuesday: Elkton, Frederick, Landover, Towson, Upper Marlboro, Waldorf and Wheaton.

The following locations of the Enoch Pratt Free Library are open Tuesday: Central Library, Southeast Anchor Library, Edmondson Avenue, Pennsylvania Avenue, and Hamilton. The rest are closed.

Everyman Theatre's performances of "Under the Skin" will resume Tuesday.

Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine is closed Tuesday.

The Irvine Nature Center in Owings Mills is closed Tuesday.

The Jewish Museum of Maryland is closed on Tuesday.

Lexington Market re-opened Tuesday.

The Maryland Historical Society is closed Tuesday. 

The Maryland Science Center is closed Tuesday.

The National Aquarium reopened at noon Tuesday.

Port Discovery Children's Museum reopened at noon Tuesday, with a special snow days admission price of $8. 
Special Olympics Maryland has rescheduled its Cool Schools Plunge for Feb. 3. 

The Star-Spangled Banner Flag House is closed Tuesday.

The Walters Art Museum is closed Tuesday and all programs have been canceled.
