The beauty and surprise of the free admission policy for performances at the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University, announced in the fall, is that it extends to everything. Given the range of genres on the calendar (orchestra, chamber, opera, etc.) and the variety of repertoire offered within those genres, this is quite the gift for classical music and jazz lovers. The high caliber of Peabody faculty and visiting artists, not to mention the impressive level of the student musicians, sweetens the deal all the more.
