The oh-so-tony Venice Biennale will take on a distinctly Bawlamer flair this year. For just the second time in its 102-year history, the Baltimore Museum of Art is charged with putting together the U.S. entry into the so-called “Olympics of the Art World.” In addition, John Waters was a surprise selection for the group show of 120 international artists that functions as the festival’s centerpiece. Will Venice ever be the same?
