New wedding venue The Winslow opening near M&T Bank Stadium

A wedding and events venue is coming to South Baltimore’s long-vacant Parker Metal Building near M&T Bank Stadium.

Dubbed the Winslow at Parker Metal Building, the industrial-style venue at 333 W. Ostend St. features more than 10,000 square feet of event space on the first floor, according to Janin Hardin, director of events at Himmelrich Associates, the real estate firm that owns the building. The space, which has held select events through the summer and is booked throughout October, features table seating, a second-story mezzanine, a kitchen for catering, and a cocktail area with a reclaimed marble bar. Exposed brick, polished concrete floors, steel beams and rolling doors are among its industrial features.

The space can seat up to 200 people and fit up to 500 for a standing reception.

The Winslow’s “train shed,” a newer portion of the building, will also be available for smaller events like ceremonies, rehearsal dinners and brunches, and has views of the MARC train tracks and the M&T Bank Stadium.

“The timing is right for that building as an event space,” said Hardin, noting that other entertainment companies like golfing range Topgolf will be coming to South Baltimore next year.

“There was a definite demand in event spaces in that industrial, historical realm.”

The building will also house three floors of office space. More than 150 parking spots will be shared among the business tenants and event guests.
