Actor Mike Colter, who plays the thick-skinned Marvel superhero in a trio of Netflix series (including his own), will be in town for the 19th Baltimore Comic-Con, set for Sept. 28-30 at the Convention Center. Colter will be signing autographs, posing for photos and interacting with fans on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 29-30.
Colter, 41, began playing Cage, who was introduced in 1972 and was the first black superhero to get his own comic book title, in 2015, as a guest star on the “Jessica Jones” Netflix series. Cage’s own series debuted in 2016, and the following year, he began appearing as a character in “The Defenders,” along with Jessica Jones and Daredevil.
Colter’s acting resume includes appearances in the TV series “ER,” “The Parkers,” “Law & Order: Trial by Jury” and “Law & Order: Criminal Intent,” along with extended stints on “Ringer,” “The Following” and “The Good Wife.” He’s also appeared in the movies “Million Dollar Baby,” “Zero Dark Thirty” and “Girls Trip.”
Fans wanting to meet Colter can buy either an autograph ticket, for $50, or a “fan package” that includes an autograph, photo op and VIP seating at a fan panel for $125.
A host of other film and TV stars and comic book creators are scheduled to appear at the three-day convention, including Zachary Levi, who will be playing the title superhero in next year’s “Shazam!” movie, and writer-artist Frank Miller, whose work includes “Batman: The Dark Knight” and “Sin City.”
