Charm Kitty Cafe to close in July

Charm Kitty Cafe, the Clipper Mill Road cat cafe, announced Monday that it will be closing next month.

The catfe, which opened in September, stated in a Facebook post that July will be its last month in operation.

The shop, which allowed feline-lovers to enjoy hot drinks and sweet treats among a rotating group of adoptable cats from the Baltimore Humane Society, wrote that during their time, they have found homes for more than 100 adult cats.

The catfe did not immediately respond to a phone request and Facebook message from The Baltimore Sun, but it seems as though Charm Kitty Cafe is not done helping cats in the city.

“This is not the end of cat cafes in Baltimore, and we are excited to be a resource for anyone looking to start Baltimore's next cat cafe(s),” they wrote on Facebook.

“Charm Kitty always has been and always will be about positivity, creating a space where kitties can roam peacefully and interact with all of us. Thank you to everyone that helped bring Charm Kitty Cafe to life..”
