With reports circulating that the Towson University graduate tied the knot with her boyfriend, chef Chris Fischer, Schumer took to Instagram to confirm. She posted a handful of wedding photos with a one-word caption: “Yup.” Schumer and Fischer had been dating for just a few months.
Sources told US Weekly that the ceremony was held in a rented house in Malibu and officiated by a comedian. Guests included actresses Jennifer Lawrence and Jennifer Aniston, “Seinfield” creator Larry David and producer and writer Judd Apatow.
In a second post on Instagram, Schumer wrote: “No I’m not pregnant.” She also asked that, instead of gifts, donations be made to Everytown for Gun Safety, an organization she got involved with after two people were fatally shot at a screening of her movie “Trainwreck.”
US reported in the November that Schumer was dating the chef after they were spotted dining together in New York. More confirmation came on Instagram, where Schumer posted a picture of her and Fischer kissing in a photo booth at TV host Ellen DeGeneres’ 60th birthday party.
Before Fisher, Schumer dated Ben Hanisch, a Chicago furniture designer. The two split in May.
