Welcome to the world, Baby Charles!

Baltimore native and former "Good Wife" star Josh Charles and his wife, ballerina and author, Sophie Flack, became the parents of a baby boy last week.

We're still waiting on a name and photos of the little one, who was born on Dec. 9, People reports.

Charles tweeted thanks to well-wishers -- and gave a little dig at the 1000s of white-bearded bros who take part in the annual Santacon hijinks:

"Thanks for all the kind wishes, people! I'll know I've truly succeeded as a parent if my newborn son never shows any interest in Santacon."

USA Today reports that the prospect of fatherhood prompted Charles to stay on "The Good Wife" for an extra season.

Charles had initially planed to stay through the end of season four, but stayed on until this past spring after co-star Julianna Margulies suggested that the additional pay would help cover the high cost of raising a baby in New York City.

Josh and Sophie, if you're looking to raise your son in a more affordable -- and more charming -- city, feel free to come back to Baltimore!
